Learning objectives1.Students should learn to understand a short tale of an issue in a given text.
2. They should identify new vocabulary words
General ContentA narration of ice skating stars in Canada, and how they succeded.
Instructional proceduresPre listening: Ask class how many students like winter sports and if they`v seen or practice ice skating ,are there any places in Viña where you can practice this sport?
Show a video about "ice skating stars"
While listening: Tell them to identify new vocabulary and reflect upon the video ,do you recall any prior information on ice skating experience that you had?
Post reading: 1.in an exercise sheet ask what the theme of the text was.
2.Ask questions concerning the text EX :Where were the ice skating stars from?
3.In groups of 4 narrate to the class your own story of a "favorite sportsman".
MaterialsA video ,Speakers,Dato Show, exercise worksheet.
Elicit performanceMake the group tell their story one by one and make the class listen .
Asses performanceAfter each group has told their story make feedback by asking the students what each story was about.
Hw AssignmentBring to class a video (Group work )of national sports stars and their accomplishments.
Test questionsRecall the meaning of some words in the text ,
Ask T and False questions on this text.
